Simultaneous interpretation

The interpreter in a booth listens to the speaker using headphones. Then, with a microphone, the interpreter renders the speaker’s message instantly in another language. The people in the room can hear the interpreter’s words in their headphones.
Simultaneous interpretation is vital during bilingual or multilingual meetings. Interpreters take turns every 30 minutes. Their work demands great concentration – physically, intellectually and mentally.

Consecutive interpretation

The interpreter stands close to the speaker, listens to what the speaker is saying and takes notes. Then, the interpreter renders the message in another language.

Whispered interpretation

The interpreter sits beside the listeners and interprets in real time in a low voice. This technique is more suitable for short discussions with a small number of participants.
